University Summer & Winter Programs

For over thirty years, Palacký University Olomouc (UP) has been organizing various summer schools on both the department and faculty level. In the recent years, the International Relations Office has been also offering top-class university summer and winter programs that balance a fun international experience with an excellent academic program to students from all over the world.

University Summer Programs

Do you want to broaden your horizons and travel? Do you want to meet new people from all around the world and develop yourself academically? Then we are sure to have the summer school for you!

Due to the ongoing uncertainty regarding international travel, caused by the pandemic, the Summer School Central Europe 2021 will take place in a blended form. That means you will be able to participate either online or in-person, if the situation allows for it.

Central Europe and European Integration (5 July – 18 July)

In collaboration with the International Relations Office, the Faculty of Law organizes the Summer School of Central Europe & European Integration. In two comprehensive weeks, students are given the chance to familiarize themselves with the history and role of Central Europe within the EU, learning about European Integration, the relevant institutions, as well the current political climate in Central Europe.

Included in the Summer School Central Europe: English Language and Anglophone Culture will be several field trips.

The trips will include:

  • Prague, Czech Republic
  • Vienna, Austria
  • The Dolni Morava Mountain Park

  • Credits: 4 ECTS

  • Includes accommodation at Palacký University Olomouc dormitories

Next to that, the Summer School Central Europe 2021 will include several other interesting social activities. 

University Winter Programs

In addition to our summer schools, the International Relations Office has been organizing annual winter school programs since 2018. In cooperation with the Faculty of Law, students have been learning about global leadership and the history of the Czech Republic within the EU, all the while enjoying the stunning winter landscape of Olomouc. 

The trips will include:

  • Prague, Czech Republic
  • Vienna, Austria
  • The Dolni Morava Mountain Park

Next to that, the Winter School Central Europe 2021 will include several other interesting social activities and smaller field trips in and around Olomouc!
