Nebraska Semester Abroad

Since 1992 the UP has held a semester-long study programme largely on the history and current development of Central Europe for the University of Nebraska-Kearney, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the University of Nebraska-Omaha, and Wayne State College.

The programme comprises a Czech language course and lectures on the history, culture, literature, and politics of Central Europe. It is also complemented with trips to major sites in the region, which are directly related to the topics discussed.

Held every summer semester (March to May), the programme serves 20 to 25 students.

The long-standing tradition and the high numbers of participants, as well as student blogs testify to the success of the programme. These, along with other information on the programme, are available at the UNK website.
